This was a UN submission for their COVID-19 response that the design team at Wordbank worked on. Our designs were chosen among thousands of submissions to portray the message of Kindness. We wanted to really hone in on removing the stigma that staying home is a negative thing and change the narrative. We should not feel trapped or “jailed” at home we should feel empowered that we are making a difference in these trying times. We did this by creating a “Kindness” superhero and then scaled this thought across 10 different cultures. This changes with the translation along with the cityscape backgrounds, the super hero colors, and certain elements of their room. I was so excited to learn more about other cultures and to design something so impact and meaningful.
